A society expresses its cultural values in many ways. One of the significant, and enduring, ways is through its culinary traditions. This ethnic 'Diva Maharashtracha' Restobar is dedicated to the proud Marathi cuisine of Maharashtra which was never celebrated says the founder Dr. Suhas Awchat.
Launched on 19 th March 2007 (Gudi Padwa), at Shivaji Park Mumbai 'Diva Maharashtracha' the only Royal Maharashtrian restaurant serving more than 150 Veg, Non- Veg and seafood delicacies with live music from various regions of Maharashtra viz Vidarbha (Nagpur), Marathwada (Aurangabad), Khandesh (Jalgaon), Western Maharashtra (Deccan Platue people living in Sahyadri Ghats like Pune, Kolhapur, Satara foundy known as Ghatis) Konkan (Vengurla, Ratnagiri, Malwan) and greater Mumbai district. Also various traditional delicacies from closely knit Marathi communities like CKP, Pathare Prabhu, Marathas Saraswats, East Indians, Kolis, Bhandaris, Brahmins and many many communities food are available first time in a commercial & educational establishment ‘Diva Maharashtracha’ This proud cuisine was researched, standardized and presented by Author and Masterchef Deepa Suhas Awchat of the two globally acclaimed restaurant Goa Portuguesa and Dakshin Culture Curry
